Pro Chucker Case Feeder — Consistent Feeding Tips

The Pro Chucker Case Feeder is engineered for reliable, high-volume case feeding — but like any precision mechanism, proper lubrication and correct alignment are essential. Follow the tips below to keep your feeder running smoothly and avoid binding or pin breakage.

01

Lubrication — Where to Apply Case Lube-2

Apply Case Lube-2 (#9311) to the following parts before operation and as part of regular maintenance:

Apply Case Lube-2 (#9311) To

  • Shafts of the Top and Lower Stop Pin Assemblies
  • Box Rail Edges
  • Roller
  • Vertical surface of the cam

02

Alignment & Setup Tips

  • Ensure the Stop Pin Nuts on both Stop Pin Assemblies are threaded all the way into the Drop Body. If these are loose, the pins can jam when riding along the cam.
  • The Lower Stop Pin Head should be pushed all the way in (as shown in the photo below) so that it does not jam when passing through the Top Close Cam.
  • Ensure the Top Stop Pin is in alignment with the Vertical Close Cam, and that the Close Cam is centered to the Lower Stop Pin Head.

Drop Body & Stop Pin Assembly — Correct Alignment

Binding or Broken Stop Pins? If you experience constant binding or repeated breakage of the Stop Pin Assemblies, check the angle and setting of the Drop Body Bracket and Drop Body in relation to the Press Frame. Incorrect positioning here is the most common cause of recurring pin failures. Refer to the photo above for correct reference positioning.
